Joining Toastmasters

To join Toastmasters International, you will pay a one-time fee ($20) to Toastmasters International.  This places you in the Toastmasters International system for life.  Even if you leave Toastmasters, and then return, after a period of time, your information on your achievements remains, and you are not required to pay the initial fee a second time.  In addition, you would $4.50/month for the number of months until the next October or April, whichever is closer, plus any club fees.  Prior to October 1st or April 1st, the club would collect dues for the next six months ($27 + any club fees).

 

For example, if you had never been in Toastmasters, and you were to join the Poquoson Club in August or February, you would pay your initial fee to Toastmasters ($20), two months dues (2x $4.50 = $9.00), and, since at this time, we do not have a club fee (Free!), the total would be $29.  in September or March, we would be collecting dues for the next six months ($27) because Toastmasters International requires that dues be paid by 1 OCT/APR to be a club in good standing.or active.

 

For the initial fees, you will receive your first manual, which has the first ten speech projects.  The manual provides information on the organization, the meetings roles, the club officers and their responsibilities, requirements to achieve the educational and leadership levels, and most importantly, information on how to succeed at your ten speech projects.
